Supporting the transition to becoming a net zero society will require an economy-wide transformation. Over the coming years, we will rely on each other and will need to work together to achieve collective and individual net zero goals. We are playing an active role in driving forward progressive market and policy changes. We are calling for action, bringing together stakeholders and engaging and collaborating with others along the way.
We believe that the actions we have committed to have set us on the right track to achieve our 2025 targets.
Our ability to meet our 2030 targets is less certain. It is likely we will need to take further action and that we will become increasingly dependent on the actions of others, notably governments and companies in high-emitting sectors.
In particular our progress will be dependent on a clear government strategy and supportive policies and regulation to enable investment at scale in new climate solutions and accelerate change in high-emitting sectors.
We continue to build, refine and share our net zero plans, considering the evolving landscape and the latest guidance. While the journey ahead is by no means a straightforward one, we are taking action now to achieve net zero and help create a sustainable future for us all.
