We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Terra Carta Seal for our commitment to working towards a sustainable future for all. The Terra Carta Seal, launched at COP26 by His Majesty King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales, recognises global companies which are driving innovation and demonstrating their commitment to, and momentum towards, the creation of genuinely sustainable markets. It is being awarded to companies whose ambitions are aligned with those of the Terra Carta, a recovery plan for Nature, People and Planet.
We won the award following an assessment by Corporate Knights using its Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations measurement criteria. This is based on up to 25 key performance indicators covering sustainable investment & sustainable revenue, resource management, employee management, financial management and supplier performance.
We have a critical role to play in helping to address the climate emergency and in the protection and sustainability of the planet. We therefore have an ambitious programme to deliver net zero operations by 2025, and net zero across our supply chain & investments by 2050; and are committed to reducing our impact and dependency on nature as outlined in our Statement on Nature.
The Terra Carta provides a practical roadmap for acceleration towards an ambitious and sustainable future; one that will harness the power of Nature combined with the transformative power, innovation, and resources of the private sector.
