Dean Galligan

Experience:

Dean joined Phoenix Group in December 2023 with over 25 years of financial services experience in senior leadership roles.

He was previously Global Head of Solutions and Structuring at Barclays plc and European Head of Pensions and Insurance Structuring at Goldman Sachs. Dean was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he supported the development and distribution of investment, hedging and financing products to corporate and institutional clients globally.

Dean has a Mathematics degree from the University of Durham and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. 

Roles and responsibilities:

• Management and optimisation of the Group's capital, funding and liquidity strategies.
• Ownership and development of the Phoenix Group Internal Model and Matching Adjustment capabilities.
• Leading, managing and maintaining the Insurance, Liquidity and Capital Management policies for the Group.
• Owns the Group's ALM framework, hedging strategy and policy.
• Delivering Balance Sheet management actions.
