Claire Hawkins

Experience:

Claire joined Phoenix Group in November 2000 and was appointed to the newly created role of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations Director in June 2020.  Claire has held a number of senior positions across Phoenix including  Head of Investor Relations and Director of the Group's SII Delivery Programme.

As the Director of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations, Claire is responsible for embedding the Phoenix Group’s purpose of helping people secure a life of possibilities as well as leading the Phoenix Group’s sustainability and brand strategies. Claire is a member of the Advisory Committee of Phoenix Insights, a longevity think tank established to challenge how society responds to the gift of longer lives.

Claire is also the executive sponsor of the Phoenix Group carers network and a passionate ambassador for flexible working having utilised both part time and work from home contracts during her time with Phoenix Group. She is also a qualified chartered accountant.

Role and responsibilities:

• Challenges the development of the Group’s social purpose and strategy.
• Develops an appropriate Investor Relations strategy that raises the profile of the Group and ensure engagement with investors and analysts.
• Develops a market-leading sustainability strategy with plans to drive delivery across the Group.
• Defines the public relations and public affairs strategy for external stakeholder groups.
• Delivery of the Group brand strategy, driving Phoenix to be a leading corporate brand with a genuine purpose-led ambition.
