Measured by total assets, the Group is the largest UK consolidator of closed life assurance funds. The Group has over 6 million¹ policyholders and assets of £68.6 billion¹.

The Group has two core business segments: life assurance (including its management services operations) which is referred to as 'Phoenix Life', and asset management which is referred to as 'Ignis Asset Management'. The Group has four operating life companies which hold policyholder assets.
